Told the kids we had to try camping in the winter – just once. They easily agreed back when we were in a warm house… Terri found this perfect spot on the way to our next house sit. Allegany State Park/National Forest. Open year round and free after November 1st. We made it just over 500 miles which is our longest single day. Puts us in a good spot for tomorrow’s surprise. It was COLD – snowing when we got there. Temperature dropped to 17. Another brilliant move by Terri was zipping our 2 winter sleeping bags together and we all got in.
